OVERVIEW
Architecture is a field that involves the study and design of living spaces and habitats. It is a meta-discipline that has a strong connection to the Humanities, rather than being solely a technical course. Students pursuing Architecture must be self-motivated, as the course demands a lot of hard work and dedication.
In addition to Architectural Design, the course curriculum includes a wide range of technical subjects such as Structural Design, Environmental Science, Acoustics, Quantity Survey, and Disaster Management Mitigation. Along with technical subjects, students also study Humanities such as History, Sociology, Philosophy, and Literature.
Moreover, the course provides management training to students, covering areas such as Professional Practice, Project Management, Public Speaking, Peer Learning, and exposure to various vocational skills like Carpentry, Fabrication, digital techniques, and Photography.
The B.Arch course lays a strong foundation for various specializations, including Product Design, Graphics, City Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Design, and Parametric Design. Graduates of the course have a wide range of career opportunities in various fields, including architecture firms, construction companies, government agencies, and research institutions.
